WALKING ON Base: Pedestrians may walk onto the base using the gate adjacent to the METRA railroad train station (Gate 8). Graduating Sailors are authorized liberty following the Laissez passer-In-Review (PIR) ceremony. Liberty comes with rules and regulations Sailors must follow.

Family unit and pregnant others can serve as a "Liberty Buddy". Difference from Recruit Training Command

Newly graduated Sailors who will attend advanced training ("A" school) in Dandy Lakes, Illinois will about probable transfer immediately after graduation.  Those who volition attend "A" school out of state may depart the post-obit day after graduation.
